MUMOLADE Fellows visited ARUP’s headquarter in London

On the 7th and 19th of June 2013 the MUMOLADE fellows visited ARUP’s headquarter in London, UK. ARUP is a consulting company for infrastructure services; its reputation is built on its industry leading infrastructure and geo-hazards projects around the world.

The visit started with the welcome made by Dr. Matthew Free (head of the ARUP geohazard and risk management team) and MEng. Joe Smith. The fellows were familiarized with consulting work in the areas of landslide geohazards and electrical, structural, hydraulic and geotechnical engineering. The complexity and challenges of the projects faced by the company were discussed.

A valuable understanding of ARUP’s work has strengthened their collaboration within the MUMOLADE network as a partner of the project and opened the possibility for future collaboration with the fellows.
