Itasca is well known for its cutting edge software suits for continuum and discrete analysis, e.g. FLAC3D and PFC3D. These software packages are being used by over 2,000 researchers and engineers world-wide. Operating as both consultants and software developers creates dynamic interplay: the technical capabilities of the consultancy are extended via direct access to the software tools it uses. Key person

Dr. Lothar TE KAMP is CEO of Itasca GmbH. Dr. te Kamp has over twenty years’ experience in consulting, research and code development. His activities cover broad disciplines including civil, mining, petroleum, environment and geohazards. Dr. te Kamp has participated in some high profile research and consulting projects, e.g. as consultant in the analysis of the nuclear depository site in Germany and as full partner in an ongoing ITN project “PARDEM” in FP7.
