Prof. Eugenio Oñate, CIM, Spain

is Director of CIMNE, Past President of the International Association for Computational Mechanics (IACM), and past President of the European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS) (2000 - 2004).

He is author of two text books on finite element structural analysis, editor of 30 books and author of some 200 scientific papers on development and applications of numerical methods (finite elements, finite volumes and meshless methods) to structural and fluid dynamics problems and the development of decision-support system in engineering. He has wide experience in the coordination of EC funded projects.
